PIXELS, COOKIES AND DATA PROTECTION
PBA Stones may use “pixels” or “pixel tags”, which are small graphic files that allow us to monitor the use of the websites managed by PBA Stones.
Cookies and pixel tags are used to improve your visits to our websites. A cookie is a small amount of data sent to your browser when accessing the website, which is stored on your computer’s hard drive. Cookies do not store personal information unless they are knowingly provided by you. They store non-personal information, such as the websites or pages that your browser accessed immediately before and after arriving at our website, or your browsing in our pages.
A “pixel tag” is a resource used to understand the user’s behavior when visiting a page, generating information such as the IP address of the computer that requested the service, the time it was done, the time taken and the type of browser used. These technologies are used to personalize your experience on our sites, which allows you to deliver the type of relevant content and products that our customers in general seek, and for the purpose of communication focused on our consumers.
The information collected includes the following:
• The day and time you accessed our website;
• How many and which pages were accessed during a visit to the site, and also the duration of the visit;
• Your IP (Internet Protocol) address and your internet domain;
• What type of browser is being used and the computer’s operating system;
• And the website that directed you to our page;
• Access geolocation data;
• What type of device you use to access our website (cell phone, tablet, computer or smart tv, for example) and what is the device’s operating system;
PBA Stones may use “format perception” technology when it corresponds with you via HTML-enabled email, which allows pixels to inform us whether you have received or opened the email we have sent.
